Construction, medical missions, evangelism, feeding programs, sports, teaching English. These are just a few of the ways we connect short-term volunteers with missionaries around the world to reach people for Christ. Let us connect you as an individual – or a whole group – with one of our missionary partners. We’ll design a short-term or longer-term mission trip that fits your gifts and provides needed help for an established missionary.

There are lots of places you can volunteer. One of our favorite places to plug people in is in Ghana. Because we’re established as an NGO (Non Government Organization) in Ghana, we can offer lots of opportunities and more directly manage your experience in Ghana than anywhere else. Find out more about short-term missions in Ghana HERE.

Each missionary organization we partner with has a long history and positive connections with Heaven Sent Ministries, so we’re confident you’ll have a great experience and be a true help to the organization.

Reach out to our International Missions team by submitting the message form. We are excited to help you get connected.

If a location isn't listed here, go ahead and ask. We have contacts in other locations where we may be able to connect you.

The experience was priceless and God-filled. We wished there was more that we could've done for the Lord while in the Holy Land. We're happy to have been a part of serving God in small ways.

Brazil

One amazing aspect of this mission is working with local churches that minister to street children. You can also join in with evangelism, preaching, and praise and worship ministry. This area of Brazil is experiencing revival, and many people are coming to faith in Christ. Come prepared to see amazing miracles and God's power in action. Come to where God is working and join Him.

Go to Brazil and teach English. Work with all ages – children to adults. You’ll teach 15-20 hours per week in a church building in Brasilia with all the facilities you’ll need. This is a fairly new venture for the church, so you’ll need to be motivated and flexible. You don’t need to have previous experience in teaching ESL – but if you do, all the better!

If you’re a committed Christian with a heart to serve and share the love of Christ while teaching English, you’re perfect for this trip. Contact us for more information and let us help you get connected with this longer-term opportunity in Brazil!

Ecuador

Work with an established missionary organization and experienced missionaries in the beautiful country of Ecuador.

Share the Gospel in an orphanage in Guayaquil and work with a church in Santa Elena. Bring children’s clothing and medicines with you, and then help organize the distribution of aid to outlying villages. Run a VBS or other children’s program. Teach English to children and involve them in art, drama, and music.

"We taught Bible stories to children and adults there, and also travelled one day up to the little town of Puerto Rico, where we led a service for many children and some adults there. We even had time to go to the beautiful beach for a while.

"Let me summarize our Ecuador short-term team experience: It was really an excellent ministry, with lots of different opportunities."
Pastor Darrel Deuel

Israel

Experience a life-changing mission trip to Israel. You can share the love of Christ with the poor and marginalized of the Holy Land. Rebuild ruined houses. This mainly involves light construction work. Deliver aid – food and clothing – and Bibles.

Walk in the places where Jesus walked. Visit Jerusalem and Jericho. You’ll have access to places tourists don’t typically visit, and you’ll see life as it really is in Israel. This is not your typical Holy Land tour!!

Just to let you know how much I've enjoyed my mission trip in Jerusalem. It was so spirit-filled with our daily praise & worship. God also gave me a glimpse of the life of the full-time missionary and how much one has to give up... family & comfort in obedience to God's call.
Praying & discerning on where God would lead me next. God bless you for all you are doing in His glory.

Portugal

Take a mission trip to the beautiful northern region of Portugal. Share Christ with the people of Braga and Porto, in ancient, historic cities. Help local missionaries reach local people through Bible studies, house groups, and other support of local churches. Travel to small villages to reach gypsy communities where there is much need. Minister to gypsy families through music, drama and sharing Christ.

Long-term opportunity in Portugal
Our established missionary partners need longer-term help with their ministry and outreach to the youth and children of northern Portugal. The ministry involves sports programs, adventure activities – skiing, rock climbing, canoeing – as well as VBS, drama, music and art to reach the young generation for Christ.

Romania

You’ll work in the ancient city of Targu Mures in the region of Transylvania. You’ll work with children ages 3 to 12 at a local an orphanage. You’ll reach out to the Gypsy neighborhoods and play with the children and youth there. Our missionary partners use arts and crafts as well as sports to connect with children and adults. You’ll also help distribute much-needed toiletry items.

You will also have a chance to help missionaries with an English Language School. This is a terrific opportunity to share the Gospel as you help young people learn to speak English.

Longer-Term Opportunity to Teach English
If you’d like to serve for a longer time as an English teacher, this could be a great opportunity for you. Email Andrew for more information.

Serbia

Heaven Sent Ministries has assisted with several small group missions to Serbia over the past several years. These small groups have worked with missionaries and local pastors as churches have been planted and existing churches have grown. There are lots of opportunities for you or your group to serve in Serbia. Visits to the gypsy villages provide opportunities to share the gospel. Local pastors who accompany you are able to translate into the languages of particular villages. You will also have the chance to prepare and serve meals to the hungry children that visit the small churches.

This is an incredible ministry to people who have many needs.

Thailand

A wide range of mission opportunities awaits you in Hat Yai in Thailand. Our missionary friends need help with construction and many forms of evangelism. They also need teachers to teach in the school that they run. The church has a soccer (football) program and wants to continue reaching out to street children. We really need soccer players and coaches to work with this program.

You can help tutor local school children by spending time working with them to improve their English. There is also a need for music, math, science, and language teachers. Coaches are also needed for various sports.

In addition, the church welcomes groups and individuals to help with their activities. This can involve praise and worship music, Bible teaching, VBS, and taking part in church services.

What others are saying about Mission Trips

We receive lots of inquiries about short-term missions, but the heart of this young girl is truly touching. We hope it blesses you as well.

“Hello, I'm Mary, a 17 year old from Washington State. For the last four years, God has truly put orphan care on my heart.

I am inquiring about a long-term missions trip to Kolkata India sometime in the next two years. I would like to work with any local missionaries, in the orphanage, or anything you would have to offer. I want to get some experience in the field and see if this helps me to see what God's will is for me.

The Lord has most definitely given me a heart for children and education.

Any information you have would be so helpful! Thank you for your time. But most of all, thank you for following Christ, surrendering all to him, and caring for those he loves.”

God bless,

Mary from Washington State

What others are saying after their Mission Trip

"I just wanted to let you know that our team had the most amazing experience of our lives. Words cannot express what an incredible trip this was! I felt God’s presence more than I ever have in my whole life. God was with our whole team, molding us, growing us, and helping us to become who we are called to be. I experienced love from our Christian brothers and sisters in Hat Yai and was overwhelmed by their generosity, servitude, humility, and overall compassion. We went there to serve but they blessed us more than we could have imagined. I learned so much from Pastor Tara, his team, and family. I am so blessed to have had this opportunity. Praise God for everything! To Him be the glory.

Like I said, Pastor Tara and his entire family were the BEST hosts. I highly recommend any mission team to go there. On our breaks Pastor Tara helped immerse us into the Thai culture and even through these experiences we were able to see God through it all. I was able to witness some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen in my life. I could never have planned a trip this amazing which is why I am so glad it was the Lord who guided it and ran the whole show.

Thank you so much for the part you played and helping our team make it there. It was incredible and unforgettable!

Hope to stay in touch!"
