Jason is from Bluefield, Virginia and Kathryn is originally from Newport News, Virginia. They reside in Bluefield, Virginia. The Vicars have over 10 years of International missions experience and have a heart to see the lost come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Kathryn serves as International Missions Coordinator working with Andrew and Laura Tattershall linking people with mission opportunities available through HSM. Kathryn serves as a contact between individuals or groups interested in short-term or long term missions and the onsite missionaries that HSM is in partnership with.
As a part of their ministry at HSM, Jason and Kathryn minister to the youth in the local Juvenile Detention Center each week. Their goal is to share with them the love of Christ and disciple the teens who are incarcerated.
Jason will assist Kathryn in mission trips as much as he can while working in the Tazewell County Public School System. He will be going on short-term mission trips during the summer and holiday breaks as the Lord provides opportunity to do so. Their desire is to spread the Gospel around the world so that “all may know Him” (John 17:3).
