Czech Republic

There are a variety of avenues used to share Christ with the people of this mostly atheist country.  Use conversational English at established English schools, go into public schools to speak English with the students there.  Visit an orphanage.  Work with a local church.

Host an orphanage at the conference center you will be staying at, and run a camp week for the orphans. This would require sponsoring the kids, but it would be quite an investment in a young life. This would work best around spring break or during July-August.  During this same time, we can also take teams who can hold English camps at the conference center.

Summer intern opportunity - June 1 to August 31 2010
Ideally you will be able to stay for 3 months and help this busy Christian ministry as they host conferences from many locations. Your work will be varied as you look to work with the ministry team as they serve the various churches, youth groups, sports camps, evangelistic teams and missionary groups who will arrive during the summer. Your accommodations will be excellent and the food great. There will also be opportunities to visit orphanages and churches and the possibility of visiting Prague.

English Teachers needed!
Come to Czech Republic on a long term basis and teach English. See this as an opportunity to show the love of Christ and build friendships with those who have yet to come to faith in Christ. There is also an opportunity to work with missionaries who are involved in sports ministry (ice hockey), orphanage work, working among the gypsy population as well as local churches.

If you or your group is going on a mission trip with HSM, each member of your group must complete a Mission Application.  To receive one, send an email to gravierml@hsminc.org and we will send you one right away.

Please remember that you will be traveling in a foreign country.  Things do not always go as we plan.  Flights get delayed, immigration doesn't go as smoothly as we hope, busses are late, the orphanage you wanted to visit may not be taking visitors the day you are available.  The best way to handle this is to be flexible.

Keep in mind that you are there to serve the missionaries and assist them in their ministry.  Allow God to work through you, not for you.  In the end, you will have a greater experience than you could ever imagine.
