This mission opportunity has 'something for everyone'. There is a great variety of ministry that can be done by working along side a well established mission organization, missionaries and churches. You will be able to serve among those who are recovering from addictions and are seeking to learn trades such as carpentry and making clothes. Also, work with local churches who reach out to the poor, especially the local children. Special mission trips in December are needed to give gifts to children in Sucre. There is also a need for people with construction skills who can build a wall around one of the ministry centers. There is also an on-going request by the churches for teams to run a 'VBS' style ministry to reach out to the children.

If you or your group is going on a mission trip with HSM, each member of your group must complete a Mission Application. To receive one, send an email to gravierml@hsminc.org and we will send you one right away.

Please remember that you will be traveling in a foreign country. Things do not always go as we plan. Flights get delayed, immigration doesn't go as smoothly as we hope, busses are late, the orphanage you wanted to visit may not be taking visitors the day you are available. The best way to handle this is to be flexible.

Keep in mind that you are there to serve the missionaries and assist them in their ministry. Allow God to work through you, not for you. In the end, you will have a greater experience than you could ever imagine.
